Smooth running & power packed ! We arrived on Friday and set up our camp, we had the place all to ourselves. Michael ( age 11 ) started our fire with John Kennedy's support . We ate , socialized then ensured that the instructors were meeting the group's wants and needs. Saturday morning kicked off with building a solar still and a hike to a stream to learn multi stage water filtration theory , fish traps and frogging , mud/clay camo and stealth walking. After lunch we gathered wood and each person recieved personal attention as they started their own fires without a match and got it well established. Folks used bow drills , magnesium sticks , and Laura Lee used a 9 volt battery with some steel wool. We then got busy making and setting snares and deadfall traps. We boiled water over the fire in a plastic bottle, smoked meat to preserve it , made wood burned bowls and spoons , looked at alcohol stoves and lots more. We wrapped up with a group self critique. We all enjoyed ourselves.

Kevin Reeve was delayed in Chicago, so we shifted gears a bit. Jason gave a great summary of Argentina's collapse and what that should mean to us. His timeline of the crisis was really sobering. PharmaSteve and others presented the strengths and weakesses of both staying put and bugging out. Also we went over the basics of sheltering in place - Water , Heat , Food , Hygiene , Security. The group was very active and engaged, lots of thoughts and questions. We took a look at how to make a cache tube ( with food , tools and weapons) to be buried along a bug out route. I really enjoyed the variety of alcohol stoves that were demonstrated as a great way to boil water and cook food without toxic fumes.

Have you ever wished the founders were still here to lead us back to basics? Ever wondered what it would be like to meet them or ask a question? I have, and I believe the closest I will ever get is attending Michael Badnariks Constitution class. I feel truly empowered, as I grasped much more than I ever did from numerous readings of the text. I'm looking forward to going again and hoping he finds the time to create the "Advanced Constitution Class".

Dr. Crawford did a fantastic job communicating some VERY POWERFUL AND PRACTICAL information with regard to how to handle yourself , kids and adults in traumatic and post traumatic situations . He also went into what mindsets we can cultivate now to enable our higher brain to perform in the moment of truth. What separates survivors from the dead in a variety of situations. He took an intangible concept and made it easy to understand for all of us. He put a tremendous amount of work into it, the preparation and delivery were excellent.
