(this meetup is a joint venture with the Valley Forge Revolutionaries group)
Friday, August 13, 2010
3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
James A. Byrne U.S. Federal District Courthouse
601 Market St, Philadelphia, PA
The role of jurors is to protect private citizens from dangerous government laws and actions. Jurors protect against tyranny by refusing to convict harmless people. We can exercise this power and authority to judge the law as well as the facts every time we serve as jurors. Juries are the last peaceful defense of our liberties.
We will be educating potential jurors of their role as the last line peaceful line of defense against tyranny. We will be joined by the Liberty on Tour crew (http://www.libertyont.... Check out the MARV (Mobile Authority Resistance Vehicle).
We're following up on our record-breaking jury rights outreach with Julian Heicklen. We have established a peaceful prescient at this location. The various "officials" here apparently have been instructed not to interfere with our activities. Previous events here have generated interest with the "authorities" but they have always let us proceed unimpeded.
We need people to pass out literature, hold signs, video tape, take pictures and make notes. No conflicts are expected, but we still need a large presence to assure our safety. A few simple guidelines will make this an enjoyable event.
1) Don't say anything to the police, federal marshals, homeland security or rent-a-cops, besides "I respectfully choose not to answer your questions." NO ARGUMENTS!
2) Don't bring any video equipment onto federally occupied property that you aren't willing to loose. Consider videoing from a distance with a zoom lens if you have an expensive camera. If they try to steal your equipment, don't resist.
3) Activate concealed recording devices before entering federally occupied property.
This event is NOT a protest. It is peaceful and we will merely be providing information about the rights of jurors. Only participate if you feel yourself capable of keeping your cool under the kind of pressure seen in the above video.
Please print some materials to pass out:
